Can I save myself money then by not having to pay the VAT?
Yes, provided that the goods are specially designed for use by a disabled person and are appropriate to a person's disability. These can be purchased by individuals or registered charities provided they are for a qualifying disabled person.

What do I need to avoid paying VAT?
Simply click on the appropriate VAT zero tab below and be ready to fill in the appropriate details on the order form, namely:

• Full name and address including the postcode of the person the product is for
• Give a full specific description of the person and their disability
• List the goods being purchased (if these have not been carried forward by our database)

Please be aware that it is your responsibility to ensure that you (or the person you are ordering for) are eligible to receive VAT zero-rated supplies.

The goods provided to the person must be appropriate to their disability. All such goods can be purchased by individuals (or Registered Charities) obtaining them for a qualifying disabled persona.
